1313 Foundation

1313 Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded from an idea by Harmit Singh Gill and inspired by the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Guided by compassion, dignity, and service to humanity, the foundation brings community volunteers together to support initiatives that aim to make a positive difference.

Its key project is a community crematorium designed to provide dignified, compassionate services to people regardless of race, religion, or economic status. The foundation envisions a welcoming place where families can observe traditional last rites and receive support during bereavement, without profit being the priority. Alongside developing the facility, it aims to offer traditional funeral services and financial assistance to families unable to afford funeral expenses.

The project has a stated overall fundraising goal of $2 million, with an initial phase target of $450,000. The foundation invites the public to contribute, share its fundraising campaign, and volunteer. Based in Blaine, Washington, 1313 Foundation presents the crematorium as a lasting community resource rooted in respect and equitable service.
