The 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade is a combat unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2024 to help defend the country. Its service is built around personnel training, coordination between units, and organized teamwork. The brigade recruits volunteers for combat, technical, and support roles, with opportunities matched to candidates’ skills, experience, education, and the unit’s needs.

Featured specialties include unmanned aerial vehicle operators, who support aerial reconnaissance and targeting; riflemen, who work with personal weapons and help hold positions; snipers; and radio operators, who maintain communications and coordination. Candidates can apply through the brigade’s website and proceed through an initial interview and selection, a military medical examination, contract signing, and staged basic and specialist training before joining a unit. Applicants without combat experience may also be considered and receive preparation before assignment.

Contract service is voluntary and includes financial compensation, medical care, social benefits, and state guarantees under Ukrainian law. The brigade also provides recruitment consultations to explain available positions and service conditions.
