About 15 and the Mahomies
15 and the Mahomies Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of children. Established in 2019 by Patrick Mahomes, NFL MVP and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, the Foundation supports initiatives focused on children’s health and wellness, communities in need of resources, and other charitable causes. Its programs encourage young people to build positive habits and contribute to their communities.
Read for 15 is a virtual reading initiative that invites children, parents, and classrooms to take a pledge and participate in a 15-week program designed to foster a love of reading. Volunteer for 15, developed in partnership with Youth Volunteer Corps, encourages young people ages 11 to 18 to complete 15 hours of volunteer service. The program highlights benefits such as empathy, respect, helpfulness, kindness, and leadership development.
The Foundation also offers scholarship and grant programs and hosts events, including the Patrick Mahomes 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Gala in Kansas City. Its website provides information about programs, events, media, and ways to donate or get involved
