1-800-GAMBLER is a West Virginia program providing free, confidential support for people experiencing gambling problems and for loved ones concerned about them. Since beginning in 2000, the program has helped thousands of West Virginians through crisis counseling, treatment, information, and family support. Its helpline coordinators are available 24/7, offering a direct connection to help and guidance.

Services include access to counselors, recovery resources, and Connections, a free recovery support app with round-the-clock peer support, a recovery community, and tools to track milestones. The organization also works to prevent gambling-related harm across the state through media campaigns, educational materials, workshops, and sponsored prevention activities. For mental health and social service professionals, it provides accredited continuing education and training, ranging from introductory courses to more extensive programs for those seeking to join its treatment network.

The website also offers information about gambling problems, self-assessment tools, resources for families, and recovery events. Through support, treatment, education, and prevention, 1-800-GAMBLER helps individuals and communities address the effects of problem gambling
