1891 BD is the official historical database of the History and Historical Heritage Commission of Club Atlético Peñarol. It documents the Uruguayan football club’s past and present through an extensive collection of records, research, and historical material. Visitors can explore profiles of players, coaches, and presidents, as well as information on matches, championships, titles, and statistics. The site also features Peñarol’s activity around the world, a historical-interest section, and notes about the club’s origins, including the meaning of its name and key dates in its history.

Alongside its searchable records, 1891 BD highlights recent fixtures and notable matches played on the same date in previous years. It presents club achievements, including its listed international and Uruguayan titles, and shares geographic statistics on matches and countries visited. The project explains its counting methods and notes that some records are still being researched, inviting users to report errors. Maintained as a historical resource, 1891 BD aims to organize and make Peñarol’s heritage accessible to supporters and researchers.
