1984 Hosting Company, also known as 1984 ehf, is a specialized hosting company that was established in early 2006. Our main objectives are to provide competitive web hosting, email services, and virtual servers on the international market. We always strive to utilize top-notch computer equipment and incorporate open-source software in our operations wherever possible.

One of our unique features is that all our servers are located in Iceland, which not only enhances the speed and efficiency of our services for our Icelandic clients but also allows us to harness sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources. It may seem contradictory, but despite using high-quality hardware that is three or four times more expensive than our competitors', we manage to offer affordable services by minimizing other expenses that don't relate to the purchase and maintenance of our equipment. Our commitment to free software is not only due to its cost-effectiveness but also its stronger track record in security and stability.
