1minute Projection Mapping Competition is an international projection mapping contest founded in 2012 and recognized as a major global platform for creators. It brings together established video professionals, emerging young creators, and artists with bold ideas to compete and explore new forms of projection mapping. The competition challenges participants to express their technical skill and creative identity in works lasting just over one minute, aiming to offer audiences fresh experiences and moments of inspiration.

Presented by the Projection Mapping Association, the event features themed competitions, international creators, judges, and public screenings. Its 2026 edition, held as a main program of TOKYO LIGHTS, projected competing works onto the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1. The festival also shares event news, after-movies, interviews with visitors and judges, and an archive of past editions dating back to 2012. Through its competitions and related events, 1minute Projection Mapping Competition celebrates innovative visual storytelling and connects creative talent with audiences in Japan and around the world.
