About 1st Beckenham South Christ Church Scout Group
1st Beckenham South Scouts is a vibrant Scout Group located at Christ Church in Beckenham. Established recently, with its Beaver Colony starting in April 2017, followed by the Cub Pack in April 2018 and the Scout Troop in April 2020, the group represents the continuous legacy of scouting at this location, which dates back to 1912. The organization aims to provide a nurturing environment for youth, encouraging personal development and community involvement through various age-appropriate programs.
The group includes three distinct sections: Beavers for younger children, Cubs for slightly older youths, and Scouts for teenagers. Each section has its own unique activities and uniforms, fostering a sense of belonging and adventure. 1st Beckenham South Scouts invites children and families to join their scouting adventures, offering numerous opportunities for learning, fun, and community service.
