1st Cut Landscape Inc. is a Downers Grove, Illinois, landscaping company that designs, builds, and maintains outdoor spaces for homeowners and multifamily properties. Founded by Pedro Toledano, the company combines practical planning with artistic detail, bringing together natural and manufactured materials to create functional landscapes with character. Its design-build process begins with a consultation to understand client goals, assess the property, and develop design options and a budget before construction starts.
Projects include patios, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, seating and retaining walls, pergolas, plantings, brick paving, and other outdoor living features. The team considers drainage, landform, lighting, and microclimates, while emphasizing distinctive plant selections, year-round interest, and sustainability. Installation is carried out with attention to durability as well as appearance.
For ongoing care, 1st Cut Landscape offers maintenance packages ranging from lawn mowing to full-service monthly care. Services include spring cleanups, mulching, landscape detailing, pruning and plant care, fertilizing, aeration, seeding, snow removal, and ice control.
