1st Place Sports is a Jacksonville-based running and walking retailer that describes itself as the area’s running headquarters. The brand helps customers find suitable footwear through its five-step fit process and offers shoes from leading brands, in-store shopping at multiple locations, an online store, gift cards, and a local rewards program. Its services extend beyond retail to support runners and walkers at every stage of their journey.
The company organizes and promotes a broad calendar of races and community events, including 5Ks, marathons, trail races, and walking events. Its race services include race management, while its participation programs include training and coaching, group runs, a race team, and a running club. The website also provides race results and information about the Jacksonville Grand Prix. Through its stores, events, and programs, 1st Place Sports brings together local athletes and community members, while its shoe donation program offers another way to support the community.
