20000Höhenmeter e. V. is an organization associated with the “Alpencross mit/nach Krebserkrankung” initiative, an Alpine hiking project for people who have experienced cancer.
Its guiding message, “Kraft schöpfen aus der Natur” (“Draw strength from nature”), reflects the project’s focus on outdoor activity and the experience of hiking in the Alps. The initiative was offered in September 2015 in collaboration with the Institute of Sport and Sport Science at the University of Freiburg and the German NatureFriends’ federal hiking group, through the Feldberg section. The project website provides information about the initiative, including training, tour dates, and the team, as well as frequently asked questions and news.
It also describes a “Höhenmeterspende,” or donation connected with elevation gained, and offers downloads for visitors seeking further materials. Alongside the project information, the site introduces 20000Höhenmeter e. V.
and provides contact and imprint details. Together, these resources present the organization as a platform for sharing information and supporting an Alpine hiking experience for people during or after cancer
