Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is an independent organization dedicated to preventing, solving, and deterring crime in our community. Established in 1983, this program has grown into a collaborative effort between local law enforcement agencies, media, businesses, civic and social clubs, and the public. By providing anonymous crime reporting, Crime Stoppers of Mesa County helps maintain the safety of our beautiful community.
This esteemed organization has received numerous awards, including Program of the Year, Greatest Dollar Recovery, Best Crime Clearance and Recovery of Property/Narcotics, Most Cases Cleared, and Outstanding Civic Group. These accolades reflect the effectiveness and impact of Crime Stoppers of Mesa County. To carry out its mission, Crime Stoppers is led by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors.
Community members interested in joining the board must complete an application, undergo a background check, and participate in an interview with the Nominations Committee. Terms are three years, and there is no limit on the number of terms a board member may serve.
