Reapplix develops the 3C Patch® System, a point-of-care solution for personalized wound management. Its approach is based on the principle that a patient’s own blood can support wound healing: the system processes a small blood sample into an autologous patch containing leukocytes, platelets and fibrin, without added reagents or additives. The patch is applied directly to wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and mechanically or surgically debrided wounds.
The system combines a sterile, single-use 3C Patch® Device with the specially designed 3CP® Centrifuge. Through centrifugation, coagulation and compaction, the process produces a moist patch from an 18 ml blood sample in about 20 minutes. The 3C Patch® Kit includes the device and other single-use components required for the procedure. Reapplix presents the technology as evidence-based and reports that it is recommended by the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot as an adjunctive treatment. The system is FDA-cleared for management of specified exuding wounds and CE marked in Europe for producing autologous platelet-rich fibrin for wound management.
