419 Eater

419 Eater is an online scambaiting community dedicated to fighting 419 scams and advance-fee fraud. Since 2003, its members have used fake conversations to occupy scammers’ time, helping reduce opportunities for them to target innocent people. The site brings together thousands of scambaiters from around the world through an active forum, where members discuss their activities, share advice, and connect with others.

For newcomers, 419 Eater offers a Baiting Guide covering safety, techniques, and best practices, along with a 419 FAQ explaining advance-fee fraud and ways to protect yourself online. Visitors can read published letters and success stories featuring exchanges between members and scammers, as well as browse the Hall of Shame and Trophy Room. The site also shares educational information about scam tactics to help the public recognize and avoid fraud. With a history spanning more than 22 years, 419 Eater combines community discussion, practical learning resources, and entertaining stories around its mission to fight scams worldwide.
