The 47th Ward Democrats proudly stand as Chicago's leading Democratic voter turnout organization, committed to fostering a community rooted in progressive values such as equal rights and opportunity for all. Our mission is to amplify voices within the community and actively support the election of candidates dedicated to these core principles. By engaging a diverse range of members, we ensure that decisions on activities and endorsements reflect the needs and desires of our constituents.

Since reversing a decline in voter turnout that saw us drop to 34th in 2014, we have mobilized efforts to empower local activism, resulting in our current top position. We focus on voter registration and signature collection to support strong Democratic candidates for upcoming elections. Through frequent meetings, volunteer opportunities, and community events, we create a vibrant atmosphere where constituents can connect, learn, and participate in the democratic process. Join us to make a meaningful difference in Chicago, Illinois, and beyond as we strive to bring progressive change together.
