Ngalo Designs 4Africa is a brand that has been creating beautiful products since 2011. With the assistance of Scandinavian-fashion designers, they use locally accessible materials and incorporate some elements from other parts of the world. Their products are renowned worldwide due to their adherence to international standards.

Their doll collection features lovely stuffed dolls in various animal designs, such as lions, elephants, hippos, monkeys, and zebras. They also offer educational dolls, including fruits and activity figures. These dolls are made using 100% cotton yarn sourced from Uganda.

Ngalo Designs also collaborates with Scandinavian and East African fashion designers to create stunning clutch purses, bags, and jewelry. These products cater to different age groups, particularly young girls, middle-aged women, and the elderly. The jewelry is made using paper beads in trendy colors, combined with other matching materials.

The brand's mission extends beyond product creation. Ngalo Designs trains vulnerable groups of women, who earn less than $1 a day, in the art of jewelry making, crochet, and tailoring. Through this initiative, they have built satellite groups of women in various locations, helping to improve the lives of over 1,000 individuals. The impact of their work is evident, as these women are now able to support their families and even pay for their children's education.

By providing jobs in the informal sector, Ngalo Designs is making a significant contribution to the economy of Uganda. They are open from Monday to Saturday, and their shop is located in Kampala.
