4-C Louisville

Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C) is one of the oldest Child Care Resource and Referral agencies in the United States, with more than 50 years of experience supporting early childhood education in the Kentuckiana area. Its work focuses on improving the quality, availability, and accessibility of child care so children, families, educators, and early childhood programs can thrive.

For families, 4-C offers child care search resources, referral counseling, guidance on choosing care, and information about paying for child care. For providers, it delivers customized, strengths-based training, professional development, administrative support, and connections to a collaborative community of peers and experts. Services and resources include the Child & Adult Care Food Program, early intervention services, support for family child care homes, Kentucky Shared Services, and help for people starting or growing a child care business.

4-C also provides online and on-site learning, First Aid and CPR training and certification, CDA support, and specialized professional development through programs such as the Heart Centered Teaching Institute.
