About CentralinaCleanFuels
The Centralina Clean Fuels Coalition (CCFC) has been a pivotal force in promoting sustainable transportation in the greater Charlotte region for over 20 years. Established in April 2004 as part of the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program, CCFC operates under the auspices of the Centralina Regional Council. This coalition collaborates with more than 100 local and regional stakeholders across nine counties—Anson, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union—to significantly reduce petroleum use in transportation.
CCFC focuses on clean fuels and technologies that support a sustainable future, having successfully avoided over 35 million gasoline equivalents and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 162,000 tons in the last decade. The dedicated team, led by experienced professionals, is passionate about driving clean energy initiatives and fostering community engagement through various regional initiatives and events.
