52 Degree Foundation Limited is an Australian registered charity and Public Benevolent Institution focused on helping children and young people overcome barriers linked to disability, chronic illness or disadvantage. Established as a formal charity in 2025, it grew from the Romano family’s experience of hospital care and a longstanding commitment to supporting others. The Foundation provides practical assistance through several programmes.

Individual grants help eligible Australian children access essential equipment and support related to their needs. Community grants fund eligible Victorian schools and organisations seeking resources to improve children’s access, inclusion and participation. Educational scholarships assist eligible students with learning materials, equipment and other approved educational resources, while Little Red Heart Scholarships support talented young people facing disability, chronic illness or financial hardship.

The Little Red Heart Appeal brings individuals, businesses and communities together to raise funds for approved programmes. The Foundation also supports a proposed permanent home for Airlie Beach Yacht Club, intended to serve members and the wider Whitsunday community
