57NorthPlank

57NorthPlank is a Columbus, Ohio furniture maker specializing in tailored modern furniture crafted in the American Midwest. Its designs span Mid-Century Modern, Shaker, Scandinavian, and minimalist styles, with collections for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, and storage. Products include tables, desks, dressers, bookshelves, shelving, and other furniture, offered in standard sizes or customized to suit a customer’s space and needs.

Customers can order a standard piece through the online shop or work with a designer to choose dimensions and wood. The company can provide drawings to help customers visualize a custom-sized design. Furniture is made to order in its Columbus workshop using solid woods and quality veneers, including options such as walnut, cherry, ash, and maple. Construction details include dovetail drawer joints and US-made self-closing hinges and drawer glides, with each piece inspected before it leaves the workshop.

57NorthPlank also emphasizes lower-impact production, using renewable electricity, sourcing wood from nearby forests, reusing manufacturing waste, and choosing low-VOC finishes, adhesives, and stains.
