5K Consulting, LLC is a groundwater and hydrology consultancy providing project-specific water assessment, modeling, and mining support. The firm highlights 40 years of experience in hydrogeologic work, a small-firm approach to customer service, and two state geologist licenses.

Its hydrological investigation services include monitoring-well design and installation, aquifer and packer testing, and surface geophysical surveys. These techniques help characterize aquifers, guide well placement, and identify subsurface features such as contaminant plumes and groundwater-flow anomalies.

5K Consulting also develops and analyzes groundwater models, including Florida’s NFSEG and East Central Florida Transient Extended models, which are used by water management districts and utilities to assess how pumping may affect water users and ecosystems. For mining projects, the firm evaluates water inflows, mine-flooding risks, and potential effects of mine expansion on groundwater and surface water. It supports both active and abandoned operations, designing monitoring and testing programs to address federal, state, and local requirements and working with regulatory personnel.
