The 5th Force Support Squadron (5 FSS) serves Minot Air Force Base, providing morale, welfare, and recreation programs for military personnel, their families, and civilians. Its services support everyday needs as well as opportunities to connect, learn, stay active, and enjoy time on base. Families can access child development, family child care, youth programs, school liaison support, and military and family readiness resources.

The squadron also offers fitness and aquatics facilities, outdoor recreation, a golf course, bowling, arts and crafts, a library, auto hobby activities, and travel and ticket services. Dining options include the Bomber Bistro, Dakota Inn Dining Facility, Rockers Bar & Grill, and The B-Fifty Brew, while Sakakawea Inn provides lodging. The 5 FSS organizes events and activities throughout the year and maintains a calendar to help visitors plan.
