7 Ranch

Seven Ranch is a family-owned horse and cattle operation owned and operated by Jackie and Stella Swanson. Based on 315 acres in Midland, Texas, the ranch breeds, trains, and sells high-quality ranch and performance horses, with a focus on trainability, strong genetics, conformation, athleticism, color, and natural cattle sense. Its program includes stallion management and a selection of mares from bloodlines that contribute to today’s performance horses. The ranch is also home to Tin Man and offers show horses.

Seven Ranch’s cattle operation is based at the Ballinger Ranch, a 5,945-acre property managed by experienced cattleman Clint McKee. The operation runs approximately 250 cow-calf pairs each year and focuses on quality Black Angus cattle. Doug manages the Black Angus program, including breeding, embryo transfers, and sales of registered cattle. The herd is grass-fed on pasture and produces lean beef. Across its horse and cattle programs, Seven Ranch emphasizes thoughtful breeding and raising animals suited to their respective ranching and performance roles.
