8 Wired Brewing Ltd is a pioneering brand in the New Zealand craft beer scene. With a passion for innovation and creativity, they have been shaping their unique identity since their inception in 2005. It all began when Søren Eriksen, the founder, received a homebrew kit from his future wife on Christmas Day.
This sparked his interest in brewing, and after moving to New Zealand, he delved into specialty grains and hops, eventually turning his hobby into a profession. Initially starting as a contract brewery, 8 Wired Brewing quickly gained recognition, winning the prestigious Champion Brewery title at the Brewers Guild Awards in 2011. Their commitment to pushing boundaries and reinterpreting classic beer styles is evident in their lineup, which features a variety of hoppy IPAs, Saisons, Porters, Stouts, and an extensive barrel aging program that produces unique sour beer flavors.
