A2MEND

A2MEND (African American Male Education Network & Development) is a brand dedicated to supporting and empowering African American male students, faculty, staff, and administrators in California's community colleges. Their mission is to foster institutional change within the community college system and ensure the success of African American students.

Through their programs and initiatives, A2MEND provides mentorship opportunities for African American male students, connecting them with experienced mentors who offer guidance, professional development, and networking opportunities. They also offer scholarships to support these students' educational pursuits.

A2MEND has had a significant impact, with over 500 African American male community college students benefiting from their mentorship initiative. They have awarded $500,000 in scholarships and have engaged over 5,000 individuals through their Anti-Racist Institute. Additionally, they have facilitated learning abroad scholarships and established 23 A2MEND Student Charters across California.
