Nomia is a private, invite-only communications app designed for small groups of people who already trust one another. Rather than offering public registration, searchable communities, or open servers, it keeps access limited to people invited by existing members. Users can create private rooms and organize conversations with text channels, threads, search, pinned messages, and reactions.

Persistent voice rooms let members drop in and out, while adaptive video calls and screen sharing support live collaboration. Groups can also listen to music together by queuing tracks that play in sync for everyone in a channel, alongside voice chat. Nomia supports file transfers, which go directly between members where possible.

The service says messages, calls, and files are encrypted on users’ devices before being sent, with keys generated locally. It also states that calls are not recorded and that no server-side copy of shared screen content is kept. Nomia is offered as a private beta, with access through single-use invitation codes and rooms shared by link
