About The A40s
Welcome to A40s, where we are dedicated to combating ageism, particularly gendered ageism, and empowering women over 40 in various aspects of their lives. Our team is committed to providing psychological support, assisting in personal development, and promoting social awareness on ageism and gender-based discrimination.
Our actions include awareness campaigns, empowerment events, and programs aimed at developing and networking women above 40. We offer a series of programs that focus on enhancing the mental, spiritual, and physical health of our members.
Ageism is a widespread practice that limits employment possibilities and creates stereotypes, resulting in the marginalization and isolation of older individuals. It is a prevalent form of discrimination that needs to be confronted.
Women over 40 face the consequences of both ageism and sexism, and we aim to address the challenges they encounter in the workplace, employability, pensions, health services, and basic commodities. We acknowledge the unique struggles faced by women refugees and those from ethnic minorities, who are even more vulnerable to poverty and social exclusion.
