A4H, or Aspire for Higher, is a youth development organization that uses sports to help young people grow into healthy adults, community leaders, and responsible citizens. Serving communities through programs in locations including Brampton, Caledon, Etobicoke, and Scarborough, A4H offers activities for children and youth ages 5 to 14, welcoming participants with a range of experience and skill levels.
Its core sports are basketball, soccer, and flag football. Programs include summer camps, fall and winter leagues, Jr. NBA, development and wellness basketball, multi-sport and elite training camps, girls’ camps, and leadership and development camps. A4H also runs school-based sports instruction, wellness sessions, and an eight-week referee academy for selected candidates. Its approach combines physical education with mentorship, leadership, life skills, capacity building, and mental wellness, including opportunities for young people to learn healthy coping strategies and express themselves.
The organization also hosts community events such as the Brick by Brick Basketball Classic, which brings youth athletes, families, and supporters together and supports access to mental wellness and skills programming through the Brighter Futures Fund.
