The African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE) is a nonprofit association dedicated to serving the professional interests of its members who work in agricultural and related fields of development economics. Our membership consists of professionals in academia and government who are involved in teaching, research, and outreach activities. At AAAE, we focus on a wide range of important topics, including the economics of agriculture, policy development, national and international development, resources and the environment, food security, and agribusiness.

Our goal is to contribute to the advancement of agricultural economics and promote sustainable agricultural practices across Africa. In addition to our professional activities, AAAE also hosts a variety of events, such as conferences and symposiums, where experts and scholars come together to exchange knowledge and ideas. We also publish the AfJARE journal and newsletter to disseminate research findings and industry updates.
