AAB, the Association of Applied Biologists, is an international professional society that caters to individuals working, studying, or interested in applied biology. Established in 1904, AAB is a registered charity with a mission to advance the study and practice of all branches of biology, specifically focusing on the application of biological sciences in food production, material development, energy generation, and environmental preservation. AAB achieves its charitable objectives by publishing scientific journals in applied biology, organizing conferences covering a wide range of related subjects, formulating and disseminating policies to promote the discipline, providing a newsletter, and offering various services to its members.
The efficient functioning of the association is overseen by the AAB Executive Council, comprising elected members who administer its operations.
