AA Badenhorst Family Wines is a family-run wine producer based on Kalmoesfontein Farm in South Africa’s Swartland appellation. Cousins Adi and Hein Badenhorst, their extended family and a hand-picked team grow, make and mature the wines on the farm, which, together with Jakkalsfontein Farm, is home to more than 180 hectares of old bush vines. The cellar’s range includes Secateurs, Kalmoesfontein blends, old-vine and single-vineyard wines, as well as playful small-batch releases.

The business also offers selected spirits and related products, including Caperitif and releases associated with the Saldanha Wine & Spirit Company. Visitors can stay in farm accommodation, enjoy wine tastings, farm lunches, breakfasts and wood-fired pizza nights, or attend summer concerts and other special events. Kalmoesfontein also hosts weddings for up to 150 guests, private venue hire, corporate events and location shoots.

Guests can explore the farm shop, while members of the Kalander Club receive early access to events and limited-edition wines and projects
