Auckland Aero Club is a long-established flying club based at Ardmore Airport in Auckland, New Zealand. With more than 98 years of experience, it provides professional pilot training in a friendly, safety-focused environment for people pursuing recreational or commercial aviation goals. Training options include Private Pilot Licence courses, ground theory, night privileges, aerobatics, overseas licence conversions and other flight instruction. Members may also train in their own aircraft with the club’s instructors.
The club operates a fleet of single-engine aircraft, including four Cessna 172S aircraft, a Cessna 172N with a 180-horsepower conversion, and Cessna C-152 and A152 Aerobat aircraft. Aircraft hire is available, with fuel charged separately from dry hire rates. Auckland Aero Club also offers gift vouchers and encourages members to take part in competition flying, club trips and other aviation activities. Based at 500 Harvard Lane in Ardmore, the club serves pilots and aviation enthusiasts through its instructors, aircraft, club facilities and member events. It is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
