AAC Partner

AAC Partner is a mobile app designed to help parents, caregivers, educators, and other communication partners feel more confident supporting people who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Whether someone communicates with a device, pictures, signs, or gestures, knowing what to say or how to respond can be challenging. The app offers practical guidance, simple ideas, and encouragement for everyday interactions, helping users find a manageable next step without pressure to get everything perfect.

AAC Partner provides three ways to find support: Quick Help for guidance in the moment, Prepare for ideas to use in everyday activities, and Reflect for considering what is working. Its approach emphasizes positive, supportive relationships and keeps the AAC user at the heart of communication. The app is currently being tested ahead of its official launch, with early access available. People can try it free for three weeks on their own phone and at their own pace, then share feedback about what was helpful or could be improved. No technical experience is needed.
