About AAD Exhibition
The Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo is a premier biennial event held in the City of Tshwane, South Africa, featuring a blend of a trade exhibition and an exhilarating air show. Recognized as Africa’s only dedicated aerospace and defence expo, AAD showcases cutting-edge air, sea, and land defence technologies, including a static aircraft display. The event spans five days, composed of a three-day trade exhibition exclusively for media and industry professionals, followed by a two-day air show where the public is invited to witness live aircraft demonstrations.
Managed in collaboration with key partners including South Africa’s Department of Defence, AAD serves as a crucial platform for over 450 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, facilitating vital business-to-business linkages and discussions on global defence practices. With extensive indoor and outdoor exhibition space, dedicated media areas, and opportunities for international engagements, the AAD Expo is celebrated as one of the top six aerospace and defence exhibitions worldwide, significantly contributing to South Africa’s GDP and international prestige.
