Aadil Palkhivala

Aadil Palkhivala is a yoga teacher, author, speaker, and lifestyle educator whose work centers on the idea that yoga is to be lived, not merely performed. With more than 50 years of experience, he teaches yoga asana, philosophy, nutrition, and lifestyle, drawing on a foundation shaped by his study with B.K.S. Iyengar, whom he began learning from at age seven. Palkhivala has trained yoga teachers internationally since 1976 and is recognized for a teaching style that combines clear instruction, philosophical insight, poetry, and humor.

Through workshops, teacher trainings, online videos, and other learning opportunities, he shares his approach with students and instructors around the world. He is co-founder of Purna Yoga College and co-director of Alive & Shine, an organization founded in 1992 with Savitri, creator of Heartfull Meditation. Alive & Shine offers online membership programs and resources, alongside events and opportunities to study yoga, meditation, and personal development. Palkhivala also provides keynote speaking and has authored books available through his website.
