About AADP
AADP, the Athletics Association of the District of Portalegre, promotes athletics across Alto Alentejo and has supported the sport in the region since 1984. Its work brings together athletes, clubs, officials and local communities, with a focus on participation, competition and development. The association organizes and publicizes a varied calendar of events, including track and field competitions, road races, trail events, race walking and middle-distance gatherings across the district’s municipalities.
It also shares competition results, rankings, district records, statistics and historical information, helping athletes and clubs follow performance and activity throughout the season. AADP provides resources such as sporting regulations, club affiliation information and services for athletes, alongside initiatives including AADP Kids. Its activities extend to athlete medical examinations and educational opportunities, including athletics judge training and technical sessions.
Through news, event information and district-wide competition listings, AADP connects the athletics community and encourages sport for all. Its website also provides association contacts and information about its governing bodies and judges’ panel
