Aahan Prajapati

Aahan Prajapati is a student researcher and innovator focused on computational biology, accessible medical technology, and social impact. Motivated by his experience with red-green colour blindness, he combines science and technology with efforts to make information and healthcare more inclusive. His research spans machine learning for diabetes prediction, colour-vision awareness and image enhancement, Alzheimer’s disease prevention, and gene regulatory networks in retinoblastoma. His work has been presented at academic conferences and received recognition including the CREST Gold Award and an Outstanding Written Presentation Award in Biology.

Aahan also co-founded Aiding Colours, a student-led school screening and awareness initiative that has reached thousands of students, and founded SurgiCare, a patient education and support app offering surgery-related information, wellbeing tracking, and communication with care teams. The app has been integrated into more than 20 hospitals. Other projects include a sensor-equipped smart tennis racket that uses motion data to help analyse performance. Through research, technology development, public education, and community leadership, Aahan works to apply innovation to healthcare and accessibility.
