Aaltonen International Moving & Storage

Aaltonen is Cork’s longest-serving family-run removals company, established in 1978 and based in Ovens. It serves households and businesses across Cork and Ireland, with international moves arranged through a worldwide network. The company focuses on carefully planned, fully insured relocations, using its own trained crews and fleet. Each move is surveyed to prepare a quote suited to the customer’s requirements.

Services include local, nationwide and overseas house removals; office and commercial relocations, including out-of-hours moves; packing and unpacking; furniture dismantling and reassembly; and short- or long-term storage in a secure 10,000-square-foot warehouse. Aaltonen also transports pianos, machinery and fine art, builds bespoke ISPM-15 timber crates, and arranges road, sea and air freight. International services can include customs paperwork and pet relocation.

Customers can buy moving boxes, tape, protective covers and packing kits, or hire reusable plastic crates through the company’s sister business. Aaltonen is a member of the International Association of Movers and provides free quotes and an online box calculator to help customers plan their packing needs.
