About AAPLE NYC
AAPLE NYC, the American Academy for Professional Law Enforcement, has been setting the standard in law enforcement for almost 50 years. Established in 1974 through the merger of the Academy of Police Sciences and the Law Enforcement Association on Professional Standards, Education, and Ethical Practice, AAPLE is made up of members from City, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies, private corporations, security firms, and academic institutions. AAPLE strives to foster professionalism in the criminal justice professions and tackle law enforcement issues affecting society today.
They achieve this through monthly meetings, guest lectures, professional networking, and creating public support for improvements in the field. Additionally, AAPLE hosts various events throughout the year, including a Wine Tasting Event, Scholarship Dinner Dance, Annual Post Holiday Party, and Cigar Night. These gatherings not only uphold a tradition of philanthropy but also contribute towards scholarships for the children of dedicated AAPLE members and local charities.
