About Aarch
OPEN23 is a one-day architecture festival presented by Arkitektskolen Aarhus. With the theme of Solidarity, the festival brings together emerging and established architectural practices, urbanists, and theorists from Denmark and around the world. The festival offers a diverse range of curated talks, lectures, performances, exhibitions, and artistic interventions, catering to architects and those interested in architecture, urban development, and the intersection of architecture with climate and politics.
The festival features five stages where critical discussions and presentations take place, exploring the cross-field of architecture, art, landscape, planning, and politics. Visitors can engage with the program by moving between different scenes, allowing for personalized exploration. OPEN23 is curated by Karen Kjærgaard, Aarhus School of Architecture, Katarina Bramsen Buhl, C.F. Møller, and Mathias Skafte, SLETH. The festival is supported by an advisory board comprising students, teachers, and practitioners, ensuring a high-quality and relevant program.
