AARCS, the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society, is a grassroots animal welfare organization dedicated to compassion and kindness. AARCS aims to address the root causes of animal overpopulation and homelessness by providing community support programs.

In addition to rescuing animals, AARCS offers various community support programs, including a Pet Food Bank, Spay/Neuter Assistance, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), and Animal Disaster Response. Supported by over 2,000 volunteers and foster parents, they provide a place where everyone is welcome to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of animals.

AARCS is a leader in the animal welfare community, with over 4,000 animals benefiting from their programs yearly. With their in-house veterinary hospital and network of foster homes, AARCS provides exceptional medical care and temporary housing to animals in need. Certified Behaviour Specialists and Adoption Specialists ensure the well-being and successful placements of animals.

AARCS also has an adoption center in Edmonton, along with their headquarters in Calgary. Founded in 2006, AARCS is a federally registered charity, run by a volunteer board of directors.
