Aartisse

Aartisse is an arts association based in Pannessières, in the Jura region near Lons-le-Saunier. It offers welcoming, small-group workshops in drawing, painting and illustration for children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to experienced artists. Classes follow the school-year calendar, with several weekly sessions available, and enrolment is possible throughout the year.

The studio is bright, calm and arranged to accommodate people with reduced mobility. Participants can use provided art materials, books, individual easels, tablets and Wi-Fi, while artist-educators guide learning and encourage personal projects. Aartisse can also support preparation for professional projects and entrance examinations to higher art schools.

Alongside its classes, the association regularly organizes exhibitions at its premises and in Pannessières’ community hall, showcasing students’ work and that of professional artists, including paintings, drawings and artists’ books. Annual membership is open to course participants and supporters. Aartisse also offers occasional themed workshops, extending its year-round opportunities for creative practice and artistic discovery
