Association of Arab Universities (AAU) is an independent Arab organization based in Amman, Jordan. It was established in 1961 with the aim of addressing the challenges faced by universities in the Arab region. With a network of 200 Arabic universities and 100 European universities, AAU serves as a platform for exchanging best practices and experiences.

AAU focuses on cooperative activities between universities in the Arab world and Europe to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and management. It offers capacity building workshops, spreads best practices, and informs European universities about the challenges and opportunities facing Arabic universities. Additionally, AAU disseminates European solutions to global educational challenges and provides networking opportunities for its members.
