AASCEND

AASCEND is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adults on the autism spectrum, their families, and professionals in the field. With a mission to foster community through education, networking, and personal development, AASCEND unites its members in meaningful discussions and collaborations. The organization empowers individuals by promoting self-understanding of autism's challenges through various resources, including group discussions, guest speakers, films, and book selections.

For over a decade, AASCEND has hosted monthly meetings to facilitate emotional support and knowledge sharing among its diverse, intergenerational membership. Their outreach efforts aim to raise public awareness about Asperger’s Syndrome and High Functioning Autism, educating both the community and professionals who work with individuals on the spectrum. Additionally, AASCEND organizes conferences, awards, and social events, providing scholarships for members to attend national gatherings and actively advocating for their needs.
