Aastha Kendra

Anand Dham is a non-profit residential and vocational community run by the Aastha Charitable Trust for adults with intellectual disabilities. Established in 2016, its 12.5-acre campus near Ahmedabad is designed as a welcoming home where residents can live with dignity, build routines and participate in meaningful activities. The community provides round-the-clock supervision, in-house medical support, nutritious meals and regular health checks, alongside access to specialists. Its care also includes physiotherapy, dental services and other forms of support for residents’ well-being.

Anand Dham offers workshops, gardens and training spaces where residents learn practical skills and contribute at their own pace. Products made in its workshops are sold through the charity shop, including jeera, methi, masala and plain khakhra in several sizes. Shopping supports the community’s work and gives residents’ creations a wider audience. Anand Dham also hosts community events, welcomes visitors, shares stories and photographs of life on campus, and invites people to participate through visits and support for its shop.
