Associazione Amici del Trapianto di Fegato ODV is a Bergamo-based voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting people affected by liver disease and liver transplantation. Its work combines practical assistance for patients with efforts to advance research into liver conditions and promote organ donation. The association informs the public, meets with patients and communities, raises awareness, and supports scientific research related to liver transplantation.
Its services include a listening point, a presence in hospital wards, psychological support within the hospital, and sporting activities. It also holds meetings with students to encourage understanding of transplantation and donation. Through its activities, the association supports patients before and after transplant and helps connect them with information and assistance.
The organisation invites people to contribute by becoming members or volunteers, making donations, and supporting its research and patient services. It also shares news and organises public events, including the Granfondo Nazionale Trapiantati, which brings together transplant recipients and communities and helps raise awareness.
