AAWC

Aabenraa Windsurfing Club (AAWC) is a local surf club in Aabenraa, Denmark, welcoming people who want to enjoy windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and time on the water. Its focus is on making watersports accessible to beginners and building a friendly community where instructors, volunteers and fellow surfers share their enthusiasm.

Newcomers can attend two free trial sessions, with all necessary equipment provided. The club’s instructors begin with the basics on land and accompany participants on their first outings. SUP equipment is also available during club days. Weekly meetups take place on Saturdays at 1 p.m. at Strandvej 11, during the season from May through November. Participants must be able to swim and be at least 13 years old, or attend with an adult.

After trying the activities, visitors can join the club. Annual membership costs 250 Danish kroner for people under 20 and 400 kroner for those aged 20 and over; storage for personal equipment is available for an additional annual fee.
