About Antarctic Artists & Writers Collective
The Antarctic Artists and Writers Collective (AAWC) is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and educating the public about Antarctica and its scientific exploration through the arts. Established following a gathering of artists and writers who have participated in the National Science Foundation's Antarctic Artists and Writers Program (AAWP), AAWC unites over 120 creative talents who explore, document, and portray the essence of this largely uncharted continent.
Through collaborations, AAWC offers a rich array of products and services, including traveling exhibits, modular lectures for universities and conferences, and a comprehensive archival website showcasing artistic outputs tied to Antarctica. The collective aims to create new opportunities for artists and writers to come together, enabling them to share their unique perspectives and narratives related to the Antarctic experience.
