ABADÁ Capoeira

ABADÁ Capoeira Slovakia is a community dedicated to teaching and sharing capoeira, a Brazilian art that combines movement, music, tradition and play. The organization offers regular training for children, young people and adults, with classes in Bratislava, Šamorín, Čierna Voda, Trenčín, Vrbové, Považská Bystrica, Piešťany and Partizánske. Sessions cater to different ages and experience levels, including beginner classes and advanced training, and newcomers can enquire or attend a trial session where available.

Alongside weekly classes, ABADÁ Capoeira Slovakia brings practitioners together through events, workshops, competitions and batizados, ceremonies where students receive new cordas marking their progress. Its activities help participants develop their skills and confidence while sharing capoeira’s cultural traditions and building connections across generations and countries. The group takes part in international competitions and welcomes guests from neighbouring countries at its events. It also encourages supporters to contribute to the development of capoeira in Slovakia through its associated civic organization, Capoeira Vrbové. Through training and community gatherings, ABADÁ Capoeira Slovakia supports a lively network of practitioners across the country.
