Associazione Bambino Cardiopatico Piacenza, known as ABC Piacenza, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 to support children with heart conditions and their families. The association, which has been registered in Italy’s RUNTS register since December 2023, works to ease the practical and emotional challenges families may face while accessing medical care. Its services include accompaniment, providing essential materials, and assistance with arrangements involving local, national, and international healthcare facilities.

ABC also offers psychological, social, and financial support. When urgent treatment requires travel, the organization may help cover air or road transport, including ambulance costs, as well as parents’ accommodation and meals. It can also assist families with administrative procedures.

Supporters can contribute through donations, including Italy’s five-per-thousand tax designation, or by making a bank transfer. ABC states that it can issue receipts for eligible tax deductions when donors provide the required personal and payment details. Based in Piacenza, the association aims to help children and families navigate difficult periods connected with heart disease
